RESERVATION & RENTAL

• Reservations are made based on vehicle category, not a specific model.
• You can make a reservation with our company through the following methods:
  Online via our website, by email, or by telephone.
• For reservations made through our website or by email, you will receive a confirmation via email within 48 hours.
• Reservations within 24 hours can only be made by telephone.
• To complete a reservation, a valid ID or passport and driving license are required. If these documents are not provided, we are not obligated to proceed with the reservation.
• The company bears no responsibility for theft of the renter’s personal belongings.
• Vehicle delivery and pickup outside working hours (08:00–21:00) are subject to an additional charge.

• FDW Insurance (Full Damage Waiver) with no excess amount.
• Unlimited kilometers from the 5th day onwards.
• 24/7 roadside assistance

• All taxes and VAT

DRIVER’S AGE

• The minimum age limit is 23 years.
• The maximum age limit is 72 years.
• If you are 21 or 22 years old (and have held your driving license for more than one year), or over 72 years old, rental is possible with an additional charge of €5.00 per day for the extra insurance required.

INSURANCE

The rental price includes FDW insurance (Full Damage  Waiver) with no excess and no deposit for all our cars.
This insurance does not  cover under any circumstances:

• Damage due to malicious use of the vehicle, driving on unauthorized roads, or illegal parking.
• Violations of the Highway Code such as running a red light, ignoring a STOP sign, driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs or other substances, speeding, etc.
• Driving on roads not approved where the Highway Code does not apply.
• Driving in a deliberately harmful, careless, or negligent manner.
• Our vehicles are insured for the maximum number of passengers For safety reasons, this number must not be exceeded. If exceeded, the insurance may be void, and the renter will be liable for any repair costs in the event of an accident or damage.
• In case of damage or an accident where insurance coverage is used, the renter will be charged €100 for file processing (glass and tires are excluded and incur no charge).

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT / DAMAGE

In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately call the company, the police (100), or the insurance accident care service. The renter must never leave the accident scene without informing both the police and our company. It is essential to wait for the police to arrive to make an official accident report, a copy of which must be submitted to our company upon return of the vehicle.
The report must include whether any of the drivers involved were under the influence of alcohol.

• Our company must also be immediately informed of any damage caused to the vehicle.
  If the vehicle was parked when the damage occurred, the company must be informed before the vehicle is moved.
• If the above procedure is not followed, the renter is responsible for the full cost of the damage.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

Payment can be made through our website or upon vehicle collection using the following methods:

      • Visa, Mastercard
      • Debit Card
      • Credit Card
      • Cash

All card payments are processed through the electronic payment platform “Nexi e-Commerce” by Nexi Payments Greece S.A., which uses TLS 1.2 encryption with 128-bit encryption protocol (Secure Sockets Layer – SSL).
Encryption is a method of encoding information until it reaches the designated recipient, who can then decode it using the appropriate key.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservation cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. In case of cancellation, bank fees are the responsibility of the customer.

RENTAL PROCEDURE

The renter is responsible for checking the vehicle (both interior and exterior), reporting any damages to the representative of Lalias Rent a Car, checking the fuel level, and signing the “Vehicle Condition Report” upon receiving the vehicle. The renter is required to return the vehicle in the exact same condition.
If a vehicle is returned excessively dirty, making it difficult to inspect its condition, the renter may have to wait until the vehicle is cleaned and will be charged €20 for this service.
Vehicles returned in poor condition and with a dirty interior will be charged for special cleaning, with a minimum fee of €60.

RENTAL EXTENSION

If the renter wishes to extend the original rental period, they must contact Lalias Rent a Car by phone at least 2 days before the original rental period ends, so that the extension can be recorded in the Rental Agreement. Otherwise, extra charges will apply. Insurance coverage is only valid for the rental period as stated in the Rental Agreement. Extensions are subject to availability.

DRIVER’S LICENSE

Licenses are accepted from the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Estonia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland, Croatia, United States of America, Canada*, Australia, United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Serbia, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Israel (information must be in Latin characters), Russia (information must be in Latin characters), Turkey (information must be in Latin characters), United Arab Emirates (information must be in Latin characters).

*If the Canadian driver’s license is in French, it must be accompanied by a government-issued official translation into English or Greek, certified by the relevant authority.

For all other countries, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is strictly required.
If the required documents are not provided, the rental will be cancelled without compensation or refund.

FINES AND VIOLATIONS

The renter is solely and fully responsible for the cost of traffic fines or any other administrative violations.

If license plates are removed by the authorities or the vehicle is towed, the renter will be charged €150 for the handling of the process by our company.
This amount does not include the fine, towing fee, or storage costs.

SMOKING / CIGARETTES

Please note that smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles.
In case of violation of this policy, a minimum fee of €150 will be charged to cover cleaning costs and restoration of any damage caused by smoking.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER(S):

The second driver is free of charge.
A third driver is charged at €3.00 per day.

CAR REPLACEMENT:

Car replacement due to mechanical failure or accident not caused by the renter is provided within 48 hours. In the event of a flat or punctured tire, the vehicle is not replaced (24-hour free roadside assistance is available).

CHILD SEATS:

Available only upon reservation and with an additional charge.

GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM:

Available only upon reservation and with an additional charge.

FUEL POLICY:

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was collected.

FERRY TRANSPORTATION & TRAVEL OUTSIDE GREECE:

Ferry transportation is allowed only with written approval from our company and incurs a €20 fee.

Crossing national borders is strictly prohibited, regardless of Schengen participation.
If a fleet management system detects a violation of this condition, a flat fee of €200 + VAT will be charged. Furthermore, in such a case, the vehicle is not covered by comprehensive insurance, theft protection, or any other insurance coverage.
All insurance terms are void, and the renter bears full responsibility for any damage or loss incurred.

GEOLOCATION APPLICATION DATA

Lalias Rent a Car has installed GPS tracking devices in its vehicles.
The system is activated to locate the vehicle in cases of theft or embezzlement, or when the vehicle is not returned on time and the renter is unreachable.

The application provides data for:

• Vehicle monitoring (Smart Check-in): Usage evaluation and data such as mileage and fuel level
• Vehicle maintenance status updates
• Incident management in case of significant damage
• Asset inventory: Accurate location and tracking of the company’s vehicles for management and reporting purposes

This technology is also used to ensure compliance with traffic regulations (Code of Road Traffic) and to verify that the driver is an authorized person according to the rental agreement. If a breach of rental terms or legal regulations is detected, the insurance coverage provided by the company becomes void. The legal basis for this processing is the company’s legitimate interest in protecting its property and ensuring the safe operation of its vehicles.

CUSTOMER LIABILITY

The customer is financially responsible for the following:

• Loss or damage to the car keys
• Damage to the seats
• Any damage, burn marks, and/or stains caused by smoking
• Excessive dirt inside the vehicle
• Any mechanical damage caused by negligence or malicious action
• Damage caused by the use of the wrong or defective fuel
• Stolen or damaged personal items left in the vehicle during an accident

PROHIBITIONS

• The vehicle may not be used off-road, on sand, beaches, etc.
• The vehicle may not be used to transport flammable or dangerous materials, etc.
• The vehicle may only be driven by persons explicitly listed in the rental agreement.
• The vehicle may not be towed, nor may it tow another vehicle.
• The vehicle may not leave the country.
• Repairs may not be carried out by the renter or any third party without prior approval from the rental company.

FORCE MAJEURE

Our company is not responsible for any non-delivery, cancellation, or theft of the vehicle resulting from unexpected events beyond our control due to force majeure (e.g., war, terrorist acts, viruses, etc.).

By using the Lalias Rent a Car website, you accept the General Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of Lalias Rent a Car.
Completing your reservation with our company implies acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions on our website.
The Terms and Conditions may be modified at any time.
By signing the rental agreement, you confirm that you have understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions set by our company. Our company is not responsible for vehicle provision if contractual conditions are not met.
